Upcycling in Style

Argyll Street 1

This bathroom renovation brings together contemporary refinement and subtle traditional character, resulting in a space that feels warm, composed, and deeply considered. As leading bathroom designers in Monifieth, every element we chose creates a calm, cohesive environment where natural textures and crafted details work in harmony.

At the heart of the room sits a beautifully restored freestanding bath – an existing piece that have been thoughtfully upcycled. Its exterior has been meticulously repainted to match the finish of the bespoke washstand, creating a visual dialogue between the two focal points. This approach highlights our commitment to sustainable bathroom design and high-end craftsmanship.

The surrounding palette is deliberately understated. Durable wood‑effect flooring introduces warmth underfoot, balancing the crispness of the white sanitaryware. The tiled feature niche above the bath adds a layer of texture and personality, its patterned inlay offering a gentle decorative moment without overwhelming the space. Soft, neutral wall tiles and a clean-lined vanity unit keep the room feeling open and inviting.

Natural light filters through wooden blinds, enhancing the room’s organic feel. We installed a large mirror above the washstand to expand the sense of space, while recessed LED ceiling lighting ensures the room remains bright and functional.

Every detail has been considered—from the chrome fixtures to the curated accessories within the recessed shelf—resulting in a bathroom that feels both elegant and lived-in. The blend of upcycled elements, modern fixtures, and natural textures creates a space that is not only beautiful but also deeply personal, reflecting a design ethos rooted in longevity, character, and thoughtful transformation.
